The Red Hat Society^� Travel Guide will feature:

- Price guides and recommendations from local Red Hatters
- A list of shops and shows that welcome the Red Hatttitude
- Must see sights and sounds for each city
We need your traveling tips! We need your photographs! We need your style, your enthusiasm, and your humor! We need to know your traveling questions, concerns, and insights! Submission is easy!
- Go to http://redhattravelguide.com/
- Have your Chapter ID number and Purple Perks number (if you have one)
- Be specific and don't leave anything out.
- We also need action photos of you and your chapter. Each picture must have a caption. Details for submission are on the website.
- All submissions must be received by May 15, 2007.

RHS Documentary Airing On PBS Stations

"The Remarkable Red Hat Society," produced by Fred Cohen, is being broadcast on Public Broadcasting Stations across the nation. Air dates vary, so please check local listings in your area. In some cities, the PBS stations are airing the documentary during fundraising pledge nights and inviting local Red Hatters to be guests in-studio to be interviewed during breaks in the broadcast.

The documentary filmed Hatters from all over the country and has been well-received in the cities where it has already aired since its premiere in March. During the month of June, it will be broadcast in California in San Francisco, Sacramento and Palm Springs; as well as in Detroit, MI; Knoxville, TN; and Greenville, SC.

"Step & Stride with Ruby" is a one-year walking program designed and supported and funded by the AARP Foundation Women's Leadership Circle and AARP. The goal of the program is to encourage Red Hatters to increase their physical activity and experience all of the benefits of an active lifestyle.

Hold on to your hats! February 1^st marked the launch of the Step & Stride with Ruby! The chapters have been selected and notified already. If your chapter was not selected, you can still take part by logging onto www.stepstride.com. There you can download the free Fit Kit that explains how your chapter can participate. The kit includes an order form for purchasing the Step & Stride with Ruby walking guide and step counter. It's easy, it'll be an adventure and as Ruby says "Playing and adventuring are more fun when you're fit!"

We have 21 chapters participating in the study. We'll keep you updated on their progress. You can see their progress by logging onto www.stepstride.com. We also have many other chapters participating in the program tracking their walking activity as well. It is a fun way to approach exercise.
